Nepal is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise--from the mountains, to the jungles, to the valleys and hillsides-- this entire area is a famous extreme outdoor-sports destination. On this tour however, we'll introduce you to the quieter side of Nepal, to the beautiful country (and culture!) that lies beyond the infamous Himalayas. This Tour meets in Kathmandu, a city of great contrasts, and we recommend adding a day or two to your trip to have plenty of time to take in all the incredible sites here. Day 1 will take you hours outside the city, to the remote hillsides and small local villages. Over 4 days you'll become immersed in the unique culture of a local indigenous community, where you'll partake in traditional song and dance, learn to cook traditional dishes with local families; learn about indigenous farming practices; and experience a little of what life is like for the people living in these villages. Share stories and cultures. Get to know one another. And discover all the magic this area of the world has to offer. In addition to spending time in the villages, you'll also venture out into nature for 2-days worth of safari excursions through Chitwan National Park. Spot all kinds of wildlife here, like birds, monkeys, crocodiles, tigers, and even rhinos! Take an early morning bike ride to witness the villages coming to life, and end the day along the banks of the Narayani River with a cup of hot tea, soaking in the views of the gorgeous sunset.
